Off and on rain episodes made observations a challenge
today. Rabbit Island provided the only critters in the SE quadrant. At 0613 I
found M&M with Pup (D#7), once again at Rocky Right Beach. They were mostly
not visible to be but got a look from the Makapuu Overview at midday, and in the
afternoon the rising high tide forced them high enough that I could see them
from the pier (thru the rain). I observed 2 feeds.
At 0926 Kolohe (RW22) hauled
out to the water front rocks, right of Seal Rock Inlet. They rising tide washed
him off the rocks at 1030 and I did not see him again today.
At 1225 Sadie (RB12) hauled
out to the far left end of the island, She move up near the cliff with the
rising tide, and remained there the rest of the day.
At 0854 Team Billand
reported Kerby (RW08) at Maili Point.
At 1318 they found Irma
(R010) at Oneula Place, Ewa Beach.
At 1502 the Billands called
with the news that Noa (R6FI) was now with Kerby at Maili Point. That is
significant because for the first time ever Noa had been out at this end of the
galaxy with me, spending 6-15/16/17 on Rabbit Island. After a travel day
yesterday, he is back on the west side. I was hoping that I could spend a little
more quality time with him, but now that he knows the way, maybe he will visit a
little more often.
Dana called at 1544 to
advise that Right Spot (R016) was at Rocky Rights, on the North Shore
today.
Elves, Teri, Gayle &
Kathy should be back on Oahu soil by now, after a two day adventure with
Rocky&Pup, on the north shore of Kauai. Hopefully, I've talked them into
sending a narrative and photos from their adventure, directly to Donna, so we
can hear about it in their own words. Check da' blog in the morning. I waited and was hoping for news from the elves.... but no news... maybe tomorrow there will be something.
