I'm overjoyed to report that at 0603 this morning, from the Makapuu Overview, I found M&M (R020) and her new pup at Rocky Right Beach, Rabbit Island. The pup was very active, and showed good movement, suggesting that it had been around for several hours. They would remain there all day. I'm thankful that she has once again chosen RI as her birth spot, but RRB is tough for observations. Most of the time they will be either not visible, or at best partially visible from both Makai Pier and Makapuu Overview. I consider that a small price to pay for knowing that she is at RI, and not any place else. Thank You M&M !! As you will see, the shots are poor but it's all she would allow me.
At 0657 Kekoa (RK72) hauled out to the left end of the beach at RI. He would remain all day.
At 0720 I became aware that there was a animal hiding behind the dunes and Morning Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS on RI. When she moved down at 0900 it became apparent that it was Sadie (RB12). Her D#2 molt is 20&. She would move down to cool of and remain all day. She had Benny to deal with, but handled him well.
At 0720 I found Kolohe (RW22) just hauling out the the right side rocks at Seal Rock Inlet at RI. He would immediately begin galumphing toward M&M but she stopped him in his tracks at 60 ft away. He immediately turned tail and moved to the water front rocks, but did remain in the area.
At 0915 Benny (RE74) hauled out to Sadie's location, and they had words , of course. Sadie managed to keep him at bay. He would reenter the water at 0951, only to haul out again at Rocky Right Beach, at 1001, whereupon he headed straight for M&M. He manged to get right in her face, but as motived Moms always do, she quickly showed him that it would be wise to get da' heck outta' there ! He returned to the water , taking Kolohe with him. That would be the last I saw of Kolohe. Benny would once again haul out to join Sadie at 1127, where he would remain the rest of the day.
On my 1700 recheck of RI M&M and Pup were still partially visible at RRB, and Kekoa and Sadie were still at the left end. Benny was not there.
Dera called at 0909 with the report of 2 animals at Alligator Rock, on the North Shore. At 0921 she would report that they were "N6" (Right Spot, (R016) and RI37.
At 1530 Team Billand reported 2AW at Pray For Sex on the SW side.
At 1622 they reported Kerby (RW08) at Yokes, on the west side.
Sadie, Benny and Kekoa

beautiful coast line
Wonder if she's still praying

This boy is more comfortable hauling out on a rocky beach rather than a sandy beach
