Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:22 to 2:12 pm and there were seven seals seen during that time.
When Marilyn started viewing weaners PO3 and PO5 were in the channel on the Lanikai side of LPB. Later both seals moved up the beach, and were mostly in snooze mode. Marilyn did see PO5's ventral, but never saw PO3's belly. Both weaners seem to be doing fine.
At 1:09, new weaner PO4 hauled out in the middle cliff area. His Allflex tag on his RRF was readily visible. PO4 move up later, but never showed his ventral.
When Marilyn started viewing MO10 and her pup PO10 were near the SRI channel with an Adult Male pestering them. Then the adult male left and relocated to where a sub-adult female was resting. The AM returned to MO10 and PO10 before moving back towards the SF. Marilyn saw several brief nursing sessions between MO10 and PO10. The SF is chunky and has an older coat with lots of green; she has two red tags.
Team R&B started out on the west side. At their first stop they got word of Miss Kala RH76 had just hauled out. She was pretty much hidden, but they knew it was their fat girl Kala. She is laying low staying away from those persistent males.
They stopped at kahe and found Mr. Kalua RL20 alone resting where Ka'ale used to sleep. It's sad to think he won't be around any more.
RL20 seemed alert as if there was a visitor. Team R&B stayed to see, and sure enough they heard a roar and saw a seal heading to tracks. They thought possibly RL12.
Then another seal flew by going in the same direction, only this one had a cc scar on its butt area then it dove down. They had a feeling it was RG28 or L08. Both seals never landed while they were there.
Later they rechecked Kalua RL20 and he had moved more inland. It was harder to see him.
They decided to check out paradise cove. When they got there they saw some signs were out and there were a couple of ladies keeping watch. They were not volunteers just good Samaritans.
The seal was resting, it was a big robust seal with no tags. They discovered it was the seal with the injury on its head from last week.
The wound has healed, just above the left eye area. This is a clean seal, very hard to ID. They believe this seal could be R617. They thought that before but more now. R617 was resting comfortably. They talked to the lady watching over the seal and she said there was another seal but they had words and left.
After lunch they got word of two seals hanging out around the kahe area, then another text showed a photo of the two seal at the pavilion.
Team R&B hurried over to find folks really close to the two seals
where the divers go out to snorkel. Needless to say there were lots of people, many who were too close. Then there was a small black dog who ventured over to the seals and sat over on the grass.

The female seal was RL12 Aukai and the male was RG28 Lefty. He was alert, especially when people walked pass. Team R&B asked who the dog belonged to, the lifeguard said it belonged to the two girls boogie boarding. Ugh!
