February 8, 2026 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕  Believe it or not they were out there today, against all of us suggesting they not risk it. But there is no stopping them. (bless them).

Today was one of the more dangerous days with strong winds and heavy rains all day. 

There first stop they found Miss Kala RH76 resting in a different spot and she was alone.  They didn't stay long. There was another woman out on the beach and took some photos. Team R&B left as it was cold and windy.

Then they found a little seal high up by a wall. It was snoozing and barely moved. They waited around to see if they could get an ID. The little one had no tags and hardly any markers. 

There were roof shingles flying about from nearby homes. and tree palms flying by, not to mention the sand blown over the seal. They couldn't determine who this little one, even if it was a male or female.  It was probably good resting by the wall, kind of protected from the flying objects.

Next they found a seal on shore at Makaha. It was RW02 PvKauai alone and resting. His tag was visible, but they noted a dark spot on his lower lip and wasn't sure if it was always there.

From afar they saw a seal on shore at electric beach. They did not go down (smart move). They seal was hauled up high by the parking area. They reported it as an Unknown since there was nothing to make an ID.

Last stop before calling it a day was at Kahe. There was RG32 and to his left was RM31 Kai both resting.

They saw a mother hen protecting her five little chicks.  Also saw that a tree went down by Tower 40.
