February 2, 2026 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕
Yes they were out there today among the high winds that hit the island.

They decided to head over to electric beach since there has been a lot of activity there. When they arrived there was only one seal up on shore RL08.
Team R&B waited and educated all the tourist that came around. They flagged them again, especially since one group was overly excited by screaming as they came running to video them Thankfully Team R&B were able to stop them before they got too close.
They saw another seal swimming by, but it passed them heading in the direction of tacks.  The seal hauled out at tracks and they ID'd Kaale RH32 and he decided to stay put.
Now they spot a third seal hauling up. The seal was RN14 Kalani and he galumphed over to RL08. There were no fights just sleep.  There was a time when RN14 and RH32 were best buddies.
Much to their surprise seal number four arrived. This seal was much smaller compared to RN14 and RL08. They could see there is a hook and fishing line on its back, they didn't see anything around the mouth area. The little seal was ID'd as RP28 Wakea, and the hook isn't life
threatening. They did call it into the hotline.
Team R&B stayed for over three hours concerned someone would bother the seals. Unfortunately Team R&B had to head out.

Next stop was at Kahe where they found two seals. They were on separate rocks. RS32 was to the left and RG32 was to the right snoozing.  The weather was crazy strong winds, choppy waters making for dangerous surf.  From afar they saw four men approaching the seals at electric beach.
So they weren't wrong about the seals getting bothered. The four men
went right up to the seals on shore looking at their faces and taking photos. The seals tossed their head in the air, flippers up and of course the guys loved it. Team R&B called the hotline and DLNR.

Lastly they headed further west. They found RW02 PvKauai on shore resting. There were people out and about but thankfully they were all respectful.
