The highlight of the day began with the U/M that has been driving nuts since 9-7-15, began moving down from the Morning Glory behind Seal Rock Inlet. Finally , enough of the facial scuff had been removed to allow me to see the right facial scar that would tell me that his is and was, Kekoa (RK72). Whew !!!
I thought he was alone at that location but as he moved down on to the beach, another small animal moved into view. It would prove to be Cass (RG06). They would both enter the water together at 0951. I did not see Cass again, however Kekoa would haul out to 3BS at 1026.
Marilyn called at 0910 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) back at her usual hangout at China Walls, after multiple days at RI. Melanie confirmed that she was still there on her 1300 check.
Dana called at 1242 with a report of an animal at Sandy Beach. I arrived at Crappy Cove, Sandy Beach at 1116, to find Kolohe (RW22) at mid beach. I cordoned him off, and he remains. Thanks to Marilyn & Gayle ! Kolohe departed at 1754.
At 1242 Team Billand reported finding RL42 at Makua Cliffs.
Evening email from Karen Turner brought warm fuzzies with Holokai (RG40) and Ua Malie (RT10) at Turtle Bay.
