At 0820 from Makai Pier, I found what would prove to be Aukai (RL12), 40 ft left of 1BS, Kea (RN46) 30 ft right of 3BS, and Kainoa (RN04) & the U/M just hauling out to Seal Rock Inlet. Aukai would depart at 1012 and I did not see her again today. Kea would depart at 1306. I did not see him again also. Kainoa would relocate to spend a minute with Aukai at 1BS, and then returned to the water. He would haul out to Rocky Right Beach at 1230 and remained there the rest of the day. The molting U/M (95%) remained at Seal Rock Inlet all day. Sadly, I must say that he remains an U/M. I’ve got an idea of who I want it to be, but alas I can’t prove a thing. His is almost totally clean except of small patches on the neck, and a Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles mask of old coat across his eyes. OMG maybe its Donatello ???? (nope now swords).
Marilyn,Lesley&Couise did the End of the World trek today. They found Ka’ena (R040), RW02 & RIP(RR70) at the point of Ka’ena Point , and on the way out found Luana (RN58) at Hidden Beach.
Posse members & volunteers, Gina Walker & Rikki Goble were at Turtle Bay today. At 1116 Gina reported an animal at the Keiki Pool who would prove to be Ua Malie (RT10). Gina called again at 1221 to advise that Rikki had reported Holokai (RG40) hauled out between the Keiki Pool and Elbow Beach. Thanks guys......... Ya’ Done Good !!
