11-6-2013 DB's Dailies: Kaiwi,Kainoa,Aukai&Mojo@RI, Kea@SB, Ewa Girl & M&M@WP, Kermit@PC

At 0652 I found what would prove to be Mojo (RI17)&Kainoa (RN04) just entering the water at Right Middle Cliff, on Rabbit Island. Mark Sullivan (NOAA) would confirm the Mojo ID at 0717. When I got back to Makai Pier at 0902 , a 100% molted Kaiwi (RK96) had joined them , back at Right Middle Cliff. As far as I can remember this is the first meeting of my 2^nd born son, Mojo, and his little sister Kaiwi. It was noted by Mark that both has small natural bleaches on their heads. Maybe something Irma is passing along ?

　

At 0943 Aukai (RL12) would haul out to join the cast.

　

At 0717 Hanauma Bay posse member Martha called with the report of an animal lolling in the water, 30 ft off shore in the bay, doing a slow motion swim toward the right end of the bay. When I arrived at 0729 I saw that it was Irma (R010) doing the same thing she did day before yesterday. Mostly she was close to shore but would occasionally move further out. Beach goers were getting quite a thrill. At 0820 she began angling toward the outside, and at 0840 just as last visit, she exited the Cable Channel and headed in a Witches Brew direction.

　

It was lookin’ like another no Kea day, but as Gayle, Kathy & I stood at Crappy Cove at 1644, here came da’ kid ! He hauled out to his usual rock perch, and we cordoned him off. He was still there at dark.

　

At 0832 Diane Gabriel called with a report of an animal with a "1A" tag between Pipline and Sunset. The tag said Ewa Girl, but the location was a near impossibility. Somehow after a period of time the sighting morphed into Ewa Girl at White Plains. Vera Cober confirmed the ID at 0857 and cordoned her off.

　

At 1001 Team Billand called once again from Vegas with a posse member report of an animal at Paradise Cove. Diane Gabriel responded and at 1148 confirmed the Kermit (R012) ID.

　

Vera checked in at 1324 with the report of M&M (R020) fronting #1707, White Plains.
