At 0600 I found Irma (R010) on day #5 of her Makapuu Beach stay. I cordoned her off. Colleen Heyer was out Monk Seal tour guiding and reported Irma gone at 1155. Wonderful human that she is, she brought the signs & rope up with her when they left. My knees & back say Thank You....... very much !

 

　

At 0827, from the Makapuu Overview I saw Duke (RA12) at the left end of the beach on Rabbit Island.

 

　

When I got to Makai Pier I could see that Duke was not alone. Directly behind him, up in the Morning Glory was Kolohe (RW22).

 

　

Gayle & I, as well as posse persons Diane T & Tracy Watkins trod many a mile on the Kea Quest at AD and Crappy Cove, with no sign of the kid. I decided to walk the rocks behind "derelict row" to the east of the cove, at 1325, and there amongst the gnarly rock scape was Kea (RN46), snoozin’ near a tide pool, and well hidden in the rocks.

　

Team Billand reported M&M (R020) at #1707 White Plains at 0729.

 

　

At 0830 the Billands reported that they had gone to Waialua after last night’s and this morning’s Makaiwi (R4DF) reports from Lesley, and residents. The Billands advise that she looks much improved, and healing nicely.

 

　

The Billands, and Diane Gabriel both reported Luana (RN58) and a 90% molted RW02) at the pup site, Mokuleia. Diane advises that the little girl takes no guff from anyone, and was in RW02's face much of the time.

 

　

At 1259 an animal was reported at Lagoon #4, KoOlina. Team Billand confirmed the Haupu (RB24) ID, at 1430.

 

Dana called at 1705 to advise of Rocky (RH58) and Buster (RV08) at the Hale Koa Hotel, Waikiki. Thank you Kawika for the shots. Stephen reported that Rocky & Buster were frightened off by the fireworks show.

 

Evening email from Karen Turner brought word of a 50% molted La'akea (RK82) at Right Spot's Spot,  Turtle Bay today.
