10-21-2013 DB's Dailies: Irma@SB, Kolohe,Kaiwi&2 UU@RI, Buster,M&M@WP, Pohaku@Secrets, R5AY@Malaekahana, UU@Ford Island

At 0613 I found an overnighted Irma (R010) waiting for me at the Blowhole end of Sandy Beach. I redid the cordon. She would be gone at 1034.

　

At 0757 I found Kaiwi (RK96) fronting 3BS on Rabbit Island.

　

Also at 0757 I found 2 UU animals together and partially visible at best at Rocky Right Beach. One was an older coat, one a new coat, and both were small. I’ve got lots of opinions, but the bottom line is I can’t confirm who they were. Maybe tomorrow.

　

At 0805 I found Kolohe (RW22) up in the Morning Glory, 60 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island. He would remain all day.

　

Today was a no Kea day. We looked high and low but the little dude eluded us.

　

Team Billand reported Buster (RV08) & M&M (R020) together fronting #1707, White Plains.

　

At 1058 the Billands confirmed Pohaku (RO28) at Secrets.

　

At 1151 Cianna called with the report of an animal swimming in the Ford Island area of Pearl Harbor. No further info.

　

DOFAW posse member St. Ilana called at 1331 with the report of R5AY at Malaekahana. ID was by tag.

　

Team Billand called at 1554 to advise that the Fire Dept had called them with a report from tourist of an animal in distress just past the Mokuleia side Ka’ena Pt parking lot. Barbara notified Dana. No further info.

BTW: I got verbal confirmation Right Spot is still out on the Mokulua Island.... I was hoping to have some pictures from today.... but so far nada.

 Am I mistaken ... but wasn't it not so long ago we were saying how Buster was sooo wonderful with the younger seals... he would look after them and play with them .... seems like this Dude is got himself all crazy over the wahine .
