On my first look at Rabbit Island, from the Makapuu Overview at 0730, I could see at least 4 and possibly 5 swimming heads all playing the waters off shore of Right Greenery on RI.
When I got to Makai Pier at 0927 I found Kaiwi (RK96) at Right Middle Cliff.
At 0937 on a pan I found a smallish animal with a new coat and 2 red tags, on the water front rocks of mid Middle Cliff. I was never able to see a ventral side, and there were no visible markers. I’m hopeful that it was Nani but ????????
At 1002 Aukai (RL12) hauled out to join Kaiwi at right Middle Cliff.
At 1013 Kolohe (RW22) hauled out to Right Greenery.
At 1017 Kainoa (RN04) & Duke (RA12) hauled out to join Kolohe.
The Kea Quest was on at sunrise and despite many a check by myself as well as Diane T and Tracy Watkins there was no Kea to be found. Diane & Tracy saw an UU at Blowhole that might have been him but the photo was inconclusive. Gayle called at 1440, just minutes into her first check and therrrrre was Kea (RN46) waiting for her at Crappy Cove. We cordoned him off and he remains.
Team Billand called at 0730 to advise that they were watching Kermit (R012) foraging off shore of Nimitz Cove. He was still doing just that when they had to leave. At 1429 they found Kermit on the east side of the White Plains east side perimeter fence.
The Billands called at 1211 to advise that Eileen had called them to report Ewa Girl (RS00) and an animal with a "GZ" tag (T21M) together at the Reef Runway.
Jen Christian called at 1254 to advise that Right Spot (R016) was still at North Beach on MCBH.
At 1546 Team Billand reported Irma (R010) west of Wind Sock.
Karen Turner found Kaikaina (RL54) at the elbow, Turtle Bay today.

Its backwards, Kermit was at Nimitz than on to Plains at the fence line.
Miss Irma was at Windsock, west end, alone and enjoying her time..in peace.
And...I clearly remember that Trick Or Treat seals...Irma with Benny...that was at Makaha Beach, Makau st. side.
That day, Benny and Kermit fought for Irma all day long. One of the worst battles between two male seals. An event, we will never forget...even the lifeguard came over to video that Fight of the Century which went on into the night.
Happy Halloween!!!!
