We have a Weaner !!! Marilyn did her usual 0530 AD check. She had reported Kaiwi’s departure last night at 1720. Kawena was alone in the world this morning. I’ve gotten no further word, from any source, on AD today. just shy of 6 weeksTeam Billand checked in at 0633 with the report of Pohaku (RO28) back on Oahu, at Waikomo’s , on the west side.Thanks to Deb for her response. Pohaku met Brenda today, and was vaccinated. They reported her departure at 1537.
At 0822 I arrived at Makai Pier to find yet another large croppa’ critters at Rabbit Island. Today’s cast was the U/F (I’m thinkin’ Sadie but?)along with Kala (RH76) out on the left rock flats. 40 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet would be the U/F molter (100%), along with an U/M mostly hidden behind her all day, then Kekoa (RK72),Kainoa(RN04& Cass (RG06). At Rocky Right Beach, I found RG32, Aukai (RL12), and an U/M that I was never able to enough of to make a guess.Hanauma Bay security posse member Jaime Garcia called at 1126 with the report of an animal at Toilet Bowl. When I got down there at 1200 I found Buster (RV08).
An afternoon conversation with Tracy brought word that Ka’ale had been vaccinated and tagged today.

Pohaku R028 found at 6:30am. Hmma Deb came at 9:05am with signs...zone up. We educated all those that came, a total of 80 people from different countries and areas.
Only a few ding dongs, but everyone else understood to let the poor skinny seal relax in her little zone.
It was BLAZING HOT out there all day...hard to even walk in the sand that was scorching hot for our tender toes.
Great timing for Pohaku to leave on her own, stuffs picked up...
We even had a nice local boy help...THANKS KID.
NOAA did the vac in seconds, Pohaku faced us, with an angry look, but she was fine and went to sleep.
Welcome home Pohaku, nice to see you, now go pig out and put some weight on. And thanks for your sweet fat pup who is a female!!! wishes do come true!!!!
THANKS MISS DEB....I know it was a long day from 9 to 4pm. What can I say? Together, we took care of our girl Pohaku...HMMA and Non. TEAM WORK. SO APPRECIATED. And FRIENDSHIP....so treasured.
