HMMA Update from July 6th

The morning began with a call from Marilyn at 0630 reporting Kaiwi (RK96) and pup were observed hauled out just west of the pupping zone. Temporary signs and rope were set in place. There was no disturbances at the time of sighting. At 1055 a report was made of a seal hauled out at Magic Island. Colleen responded and ID'ed Rocky (RH58). At 1438 the National Hotline called with a sighting of an unknown seal hauled out at the Lanai Lookout area. The seal was not positively identified so the seal will be recorded as an unknown.
