Sadie on Moku Nui February 15, 2013

These photos were taken on 2.15 by Ka'iulani Manuwai-Oiph who is a guide at Kailua Sailboard Kayak.  Ka'iulani did a great job preventing anyone from disturbing Sadie while she was resting. She was able to inform the visitors to keep their distance!  I know Ka'iulani is a great advocate for out monk seals.  In the past when Nani or KC have popped up, Ka'iulani has been one of the wonder folks at KSK that have gone above and beyond to look out for their best interest.
As it turns out there was a customer of KSK rentals who is a biologist by profession that also spent time watching over Sadie while she was on the mokes.
Seems as though our Sadie has many caretakers who are looking out for her best interest. There have been discussions and meetings taking place within the NOAA/PIRO office DLNR offices to prepare for the slight possibilty of a pupping event.  We all will just have to will Sadie to go home to Rabbit Island and be under the watchful eye of DB.
