Yesterday we found seven animals! Three were at Plains, Kermit, M and m and Makaiwi. Kermit had been up early with Makaiwi at the cabins, but suddenly left his spot, TO THROW UP...THREE LARGE TAKO. I ran down to pick it up for science..it was heavy, maybe 6 to 7 pounds worth of Tako. Pretty amazing...but unfortunately, SCIENCE didnt want it at all. So we took photos of what Kermit had in his BELLY...WOW. Later he came up left of Makaiwi. And later, in the afternoon, M and M showed up, IN THE ZONE WITH KERMIT AND MAKAIWI. SO cute to see them all, just chillin in PEACE. The cabin folks were very excited to see THREE SEALS BEFORE THEM. And all three remained together until, 6:15pm when Makaiwi went on her way..ALONE.
Then we got the call of seal on rocks, Paradise Cove. We got there to find the lovely, PLUMP, POHAKU. And there were over 100 Japanese Tourists out along with many other beach goers. We did our best until we got help from BJ, Linda, Sue and Sam. Thanks guys. You da bestest in the WESTEST.
Next there was little girl L42 at Keaau's Bridge and Miss Zinny with her. This seal is adorably CUTE, tiny, but healthy.
Next: Dropped by to see if any critters out at Maili and TA DA AAAA. There was Kerby and Benny newly hauled out on the rocks. A few words of WHOOP WHOOP and then they settled for some ZZZZZZ's.
We returned to Plains for the rest of the day, keeping an eye out for more seals...but 7 was it. And that is awesome.
In the ending we were out there, gazing at the Horizon and two pods of humpbacks were frolicking spouting and fluke up dives. The sun set, magnificent as always...cabin folks were happy with their stay at Plains with THREE SEALS and HUMPBACK whales passing...a really nice long HOT day.
We looked every where for 2AW, NOPE, not today...we are a bit concerned with his weight loss. He had been run off many times DURING HIS MOLTING...SAD. Just an old man, looking for a spot to rest his old bod...when he showed up twice with us..we gave him that protection, so he COULD REST ALL DAY LONG. God bless him where ever he is...Prayers to the old man of the sea. Hope he shows up with us AGAIN. I want a gazillion photos of him...THAT ANCIENT LIVING FOSSIL..
