At 1105 on a pan I found Mojo (RI17) on the water front rocks of Seal Rock Inlet. He would later relocate.
At 1140 Buster (RV08) hauled out 50 ft left of 1BS. He has been MIA since 2-20-13, so it was good to see the boy again.
At 1257 I had a visit from four students, with CG Capt. Eric Brown, who were interested in seeing Monk Seals. Fortunately, I had a cast to show them since there was no one else in the SE quadrant. I initially showed them Buster and Kolohe, but when I panned down to show them Mojo at 1330 he was gone. I gave the scope over to them, to watch, so I only got a blow by blow on the action through their excited screams. Apparently, Mojo hauled out to join the other two, and he and Kolohe had words. They entered the water and Buster quickly followed. When I got the scope back all were gone, however on a pan at 1359 I found Buster & Mojo just hauling out to 2BS. I did not see Kolohe again today.
At 0730 they reported Makaiwi (R4DF) fronting #1944, White Plains.
Zeeny checked in from Ka'ena Point, with the report of Noa (R6FI) and Ka'ena at the end of the world.
At 1430 they found Kerby (RW08) at Maili Point.
At 1450 Team Billand found Benny (RE74) at Nanakuli.
Cianna called at 1440 with reports of KC (RK28) at MCBH, and R5AY at Hauula.
At 1549 the Billands advised that they were responding to 2 calls. The first was for 2 new arrivals at White Plains. At 1609 they found M&M (R020) with Makaiwi @ #1944, and R018 down the beach, fronting 1708.
The second call was for 2 animals in Ewa Beach. At 1711 they reported finding only Irma (R010) near Access #186B, EB.
At 1723 they had a report of another animal hauling out to Lagoon #2, KoOlina. No word yet. Check the Billand's day on the blog in the morning.
