Many years, I told Rob, if only the seals could be IN ONE PLACE TOGETHER, it would be awesome. Well..YESTERDAY was a dream come true..almost. At least four of the animals were together in ONE ZONE. There was Makaiwi near the cottages, 2AW the old dude was way to the left of the fenceline, alone. That too was a neat wish...that he would come to Plains with us, so we could guard him and he could get the much needed rest. Throughout his entire molt, he was harassed by humans. I almost fainted when I spotted him way up near the bushes..HE IS HERE!!!! We made a good sized zone for him, made sure the homeless wouldnt bother him, nor the quads that often buzz around the area.

And wouldnt you know KERMIT, FAT BOY decides he wants his own space far away from the 5 seals at Plains. He was seen swimming below the surface, and at first I thought he was a shark!! Then that big head popped the surface and ...we knew it was him..KERMIT. We followed him, he was moving pretty fast for a change...then he spotted a school of fish, the surface of the water was black, we saw fish as well. He tried to get some grinds, but then gave up. We continued to follow...and finally MR.KERMIT decides to haul out in front of a LOUD SUPER BOWL PARTY at the Pavilions...OK quick, bring the stuffs out ROB...SIGNS AND ROPES...THE SUPER BOWL CROWD IS COMING...and right a way some one says, LETS FEED HIM HOTDOGS...NO WAY GUY. Any ways, we get Kermit's space set up and do a quick Seal 101...things settle. Phew.

We go back to Plains, we got Jean Jasina, then Laurie Finley and lastly..Vera Cober to help us out. AND...our cabin volunteers also took a watch for us...Larry and Reylene Higgins, visiting from the mainland. This is great....we needed help out there.

We never bothered to go westerly for a search...the seals came to us at Plains, AWESOME. People came to see the seals, WONDERING...WHY ARE THERE SO MANY SEALS HERE TODAY. Some thought there were sharks, some thought the food source, WE DONT KNOW. We just protect them, so they can all get some needed SLEEP.

I was shocked Benny didnt bother M and M, it was KERBY the four year old kid who bothered M and M!!! Dam..seemed to us, Benny broght the kid out of Kaena Pt for some ROMANCE. Benny like got between M and M and Kerby, advising Kerby...here is the female kid...go for it. And he did for a bit, then all four seals just chilled out and .... SLEPT. Makaiwi was way to the left of the gang...no one really bothered her for some reason.

Thanks to all who helped yesterday!!! And Jean, ya done good..again. It was Jeans second ENCOUNTER WITH... DA BENNY, Plus, four more critters.

Cant wait to hit the beaches...whose gonna be there today?????

One last thing, thanks to Laurie for taking care of Kermit at Nimitz till 7pm...and Kermit still out there, so is the SUPER BOWL PARTY....
