7-15-2012 DB's Dailies

At 0648 I found M&M (R020) & Pup (D#33), high on the beach at Rocky Right Beach, on Rabbit Island. Though I checked Makai Pier often today, I mostly remained at the Makapuu Overview, so as to maintain visual contact with Mom and kid. I was fortunate to be able observe 2 swim sessions, all within the RRB cove, as well as 3 feeds. The kid is humgonous, and Mom is gettin' a little slack in the shorts. The pup's belly is certainly light enough to see something, if only I had decent observation conditions, and of course a little cooperation from the pup, who seems to love to hide behind Mom, just to piss me off ! Though observations were fun, photos completely sucked... sorry !
At 0725 Gayle called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at Lanai Lookout. She has remained all day.
Sadly, there were no other cast members in the SE quadrant today.

Team Billand called at 0849 with the report of Ewa Girl (RS00) at Wind Sock, Kalaeloa Beach. Sadly, she would be run off at 1344 by a leashed, but barking Pit Bull. Thank you to Glen for the help !

At 1058 Team Billand reported 2AW, just a tad to the east of Wind Sock.

Dana checked in at 1213 with news of "N6" (Right Spot, R016) at "Mother's Beach", Sunset Beach, on the North Shore.

Team Billand responded to a call of two animals in Makaha, however witnesses reported that they had been run off by tooooo many people, tooooo close, striving for that allllll important camera phone shot ! prior to the Billands arrival.

Our Aquarium magazine arrived and in it was a short piece about KP2 having a webcam now. So far all we've seen is a website with an "X" where the camera oughta' be, but check it out: I am going to try and post this link so it runs on the blog.... I originally had a problem but did get a chance to get it working... although he must have been hiding.

 M&M and pup Day 33
 Kaiwi @ Lanai lookout
 Ewa Girl @ Wind Sock
Poor Momma not getting much rest
I was just thinking about her this afternoon, thinking she was probably some remote place nursing her baby
 There's the beautiful Grand Dame
Team Billan and Vera also were visited by 2AW at Wind Sock
Handsome dude

Thanks to Glen, Vera and Arec Cober. Also to Jim Brown for their time watching over our seals, Ewa Girl and 2AW. You are all appreciated.

As for the DOGS THAT RAN OFF OUR SEALS...YOU SUCK!!!!! Even tho both on leashes, you managed to disturb our innocent seals, REST!!!

I really wish, NO DOGS WERE ALLOWED on beaches...instead, I wish they would all stay home or walk in a DOG PARK. I love dogs, but when they see a seal, they will most certainly go directly to our innocent, BELOVED SEALS. BAH!!!!!!!!!!!

I think M and M's pup is gigantic and well cared for by MAMA. AWE da cute the kid.

Kaiwi!!! wow, that one shot from the profile of land is beautiful, so colorful. Man, she got a choice spot to bask on...imagine the property value there?????

Ewa Girl wasnt nursing, but, it was really nice to see her again. She is an awesome female, pretty face.

2AW was a treat. So he was the seal that showed up to the right of Ewa Girl when the DOG ran him off. But...he came up to the left of Ewa Girl and Luckily, Glen was there to keep folks away...until we came with da signs and ropes.

We hadnt been seeing much of our seals at all lately...when they finally appear...DA DOGS WERE RIGHT THERE.

Wish we could get a report on KERMIT...miss our fat boy!!!
