7-28-2012 DB's Dailies: Aukai&Kolohe@RI, Buster@SC, Kaiwi@LL, Pohaku@Banyan, T21M&Rocky@IRQ, RI37@Mokuleia, R912&Pup, Ka'ena@KP

At 0621 I found Aukai snoozin' fronting 3BS. She would basically be at that location all day, but did 4 swim sessions , always returning to the 3BS location .

Yes........ She ! I've never seen anything but a female belly for the last coupla' weeks. Today was the best look yet, though the photo sucks. She is a she!

At 0636 I found Kolohe (RW22) 40 ft left of 1BS at the left end of RI. He would remain there all day.

Unfortunately, the animals did not have the place all to themselves. From 1450 until 1545 there were an male and female who arrived in their orange kayak, hauling out just right of Aukai's location. Of course I made the DOCARE call at 1451. During their stay they managed to run Aukai into the water, just by getting way to close for photos. She departed at 1500. They also encountered Kolohe at the left end. Though he alerted to their presence both coming and going, he did not depart. The pair was met at Kaupo Beach Park by DOCARE Officer , Jason Lee, at 1601. That is great, but Aukai was run off nevertheless.

At 0659 I found Buster (RV08) doing 7 minute dives at Spitting Cave.

At 0741 I found Kaiwi (RK96) snoozin' at Lanai Lookout.

At 0713 Team Billand reported Pohaku (R28) at Banyan Tree Beach, KoOlina.

The Billands called at 0825 to advise that Clay Gates had called to report T21M at Iroquois Point.

Dera called at 1103 with the report of RI37 at Mokuleia. Actually, Marilyn & friend had stopped to check R912 & Pup and talked with Jeannie Martinson, who found RI37 at 0913.
Mrs. Whisperer & friend, found Ka'ena (RO40) at Ka'ena Point. He was the only resident at the end of the world today.

Team Billand checked in again at 1647 to report that Vera and Clay had reported that Rocky (RH58) had just arrived to join T21M at IRQ.

Happy Birthday to La'akea (RK82) . She is 1 year old today !

Please check da' blog in the morning for Team Billands day.
