12-4-11 "KC" Entanglement CORRECTION

I think everyone will agree that Suzanne Frazer and Dean Otsuki are HEROs! There aren't words to express how wonderful it was that they were in the right place in the right time, they responded by calling it in and staying with KC the whole time.
HMSRTO partnered with Suzanne Frazer and Dean Otsuki from Beach Environmental Awareness Campaign Hawai`i (B.E.A.C.H.)   last year for a clean up, it's always good to know we can still continue to look out for each other. The following photos are from Suzanne and Dean, they took the photos with the rope and after David Schofield removed the entanglement. AGAIN THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Not only did Suzanne & Dean stay with the animal and forgo their beach cleanup plans, they were great to continually call in behavior and give very good information on what NOAA needed to know in order to take the right equipment. Our networks working together is so important and most especially for the critters out there. Mahalo to this great program B.E.A.C.H. and their dedication and help for KC.
