At 0923 I found Irma (R010) at the far west end of
Makapuu Beach. I cordoned her off, and she has remained all day. At 1749 Irma
began moving down . She entered the water at 1753. I picked up the stuff and
called it a day at 1818.
At 1010 on my 2nd look at Rabbit Island, I found the
probable answer to my mystery male problem of 2 days ago. I found RM38, snoozin'
on the water front rocks to the left of Seal Rock Inlet. His signature posterior
dorsal abscess, as well as his left side mid body natural bleach, and 2 red tags
were visible. His last Rabbit Island visit was on 4-12-11. Since then he has
been spending his days with those hot young Molokai chicks.
Speaking of hot young chicks, I also found Nani (RK60)
on RI today, to the right of Seal Rock Inlet (probably hiding from M38).
Team Billand checked in at 0932 with the report of
Kermit (R012) at Kermit's Reef, on the west side of the Nimitz Jetty.
Dana called at 1200 to advise that volunteer Deena had
found La'akea (RK82) to the right of the Keiki Pool at Turtle Bay. ID was by her
N31 bleach.
I got a call from Ocean Safety at 1214, advising of an
animal newly hauled out to lifeguard tower 2D, near the Kuhio statue in
Waikiki. I immediatley notified Dera and Dana. Dera called at 1308 to advise
that it was Rocky (RH58) and that she had moved to 2F, Colleen was on it. Email
from Colleen said that Rocky had departed at 1810.
Dana called at 1527 to advise that Right Spot (R016)
was on the beach behind volunteer Candy Green's house in Hauula.
Kaiwi RK96 hiding in the shrubs... I wish she wouldn't do this at Crappy cove... there are so many vehicles that drive through there.... so scary.
