12-11-11 DB Dailies and More

Despite lots of lookin' by Marilyn, Gayle, Candy, Caryn & myself , Kaiwi was a no show today. In a late afternoon conversation with Dera, it appeared as though Kaiwi might still be in the Maunalua Bay area, but the data point times were inconclusive. The bottom line is that we did no see her today.

My one and only find in the SE quadrant today was Kolohe (RW22) at Spitting Cave. Gayle & I had first seen him at 1241, but it would take until 1457 to finally see his right side natural bleach, and confirm the Kolohe ID.

Team Billand called at 0734 to report M&M (R020) near the east end fence line at White Plains.

At 0850 the Billands reported Irma (R010) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds.

At 1259 Dana called to advise that R5AY & Right Spot (R016) had been reported at Right Spot's Spot, Turtle Bay.

Also at 1259 Dana advised that Judy & Paul Nelson had reported an U/U across from Dillingham airfield, Mokuleia. Initial photos provided were inconclusive, however an 1805 addition, confirmed the RI37 ID.

At 1337 Dana called to advise that Colleen was responding to the report of an animal at the lighthouse, Diamond Head. An 1827 email from Colleen confirmed the Rocky (RH58) ID.

At 1447 Team Billand found Pohaku (RO28) at Guard Rails Beach, Maili.

At 1522 Dana called to advise that Kelly Girl had found Ua Malie (RT10) at High Rock, Kahuku.

At 1545 posse member Toni Russ called to report Kermit (R012) near Ewa Beach Park. ID was made from his R4DG tag. At 1817 Toni advised that Kermit had departed due to "too many people" around him.

Kermit - will he or won't he?
Will he molt this week? or next?
RI37
