Found Rocky first at Windsock alone.
Saw a second seal at Nimitz Cottages, but he left per netter.
Jetty at Nimitz found Kermit foraging.
Drove to Ewa Beach and found 4DF on shore. She was given her transmitter per Tracy, Chad, John Henderson, Doc Greg, and an Intern, with Erick Tong. She went on to the Nimitz area later afternoon, but run off.
Benny showed up at Plains 10:24am. He was in cruiser mode and on his tippy toes. He had left by 12:45pm.
Benny shows up with Kermit and Rocky snoozing at Windsock by 1:07. A full on rough, mean fight broke between all three seals. Kermit then left and headed to Kalaeloa area. We stayed with Benny and Rocky on shore being hit by the high waves. They were up against the brush area. All settled and they both snoozed.
UNTIL........5:15pm. Suddenly Kermit is spotted bobbing his head up and down, headed rright into Windsock. Another brawl began between Benny and Kermit. Loud growling, snorts, lots of flipper slapping. Bitting flippers, bitting necks, really exciting. Crowd gathered. Kermit stayed in the waters edge, Benny defending Rocky for HIS.
Suddenly Makaiwi showed up but the crowd wouldnt let her haul in and she continued on to the Jetty. Too bad. We would have had FOUR SEALS AT WINDSOCK.
All three seals remained at windsock...it was late and we had to leave. Wow, talk about National Geographics.....we witnessed the most meanest fight ever seen. Benny was the meanest...he had control today and he really protected Rocky from Kermit. Unbelievable.
