August 13, 2026 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕

Their first sighting of the day were the dolphins.  The surf was rough and the dolphins were further out. But Team R&B still got to enjoy them.

Once again by the outfall area there were two seals foraging together.
Team R&B couldn't make an ID which I know must be frustrating. Unknown #1 had two tags, adult size, and greenish coat.
Unknown #2 had one tag, adult size and very green.

They made it out to plains. They were happy to see RT06 Marvin in a zone. Today he was very itchy and kept flipping over. He was fine other than that.  Usually people are really good about respecting the zone but today several folks crossed in front of him.
As they were leaving for the day, one of the lifeguards came by telling them another seal was with RT06. So of course they hurried back.
On shore was an adult seal no tags seen. They did not see any markers to get an ID. The two seal sniffed each other then both entered the water.  The unknown adult swam to the ewa side of the beach and landed. But soon after took off passing all the swimmers.
Meanwhile RT06 hauled out near the fence line. They scrambled to get a few signs and asked folks to move back. Then the wonderful lifeguards came over and reset a zone.
