5/29/2020 Friday (part 2) Lesley's Ka'ena Point

Tammy and I had an early start to beat the heat.

We started off by checking onRL42 Leia & PO4 Kai D37 they were playing in shallow water. Hours later on our way back we saw them hauling up the beach, Kai has been shedding fast the last couple of days. It seems he's going from black to silver, passing very lightly by the bleached reddish fase.

At 10 Mnts Beach we had a swim by, later after downloading the photos I was able to confirm it was R330 Squinty

At the point R303 BG was in her pool - she getting bigger by the day. She has been lying on her side most of the time.

R3CX was hauled out on some outer reefs and further to the point side RL74 Kami was hidden in some cracks in the reefs. She was on her bellie and it was a LONG wait for her to turn over a little for us to see her new wound. Turns out it is NOT a CC bite but a clean cut, there NO blood or oozing and she isn't touching or rubbing it. She may not even have a scar once it heals.

RL70 Leina was on Back Beach. Started off where we last saw her yesterday mid beach made it down to the waterline and up again.

Note: RL74 Kami, RL70 Leina and RL98 Lina have turned/are turning 1 year old. They may, soon be going thru a mild molt, more like a shedding. That explains their "raccoon" face and green body because of the algae.

We had another swimmer by that turned out to be RN04 Kainoa. He visited R3CX then finally went to the Runway and hauled out there.

Kelcie showed up while we were waiting for RL74 Kami to turn over, we shared with her where the seals were as well as their IDs.  More tomorrow
