At 1009 Gayle called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) & Buster (RV08) at China Walls. I ventured over to check them out at 1200. As I was walking down to CW two surfer posse members told me “the two big ones are still there but the baby just left “. Was the baby really green, I asked...... “Yep” ! Looks like we just missed Cass. I hung out for a couple of hours, but she never showed again.
At 0730 Team Billand found Kekoa (RK72) at Maili Point.
At 0937 Ocean Safety called with the report of an animal at Chun’s Reef. I notified Dana. Awaiting further word.
At 0937 Dana advised of a report of an animal in Waialua. An after text from Tracy advised that the NOAA team had found both RI37 & Nihoa (R912) in Waialua. RI37 got a right side N10 bleach, and Nihoa is now sporting a left side N61 bleach.
At 1217 Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28) foraging of CIP.
At 1404 the Billands reported RIP with Kekoa at Maili Pt. They also reported to foraging/playing animals off shore of Maili Pt. One would prove to be RK36. The other remains an U/U.
Tracy and the rest of the NOAA vaccination gang, did the End of the World trek today. They found Aukai (RL12), Ka’ena (RO40), Kolohe (RW22) & Squinty (R330) at Ka’ena Pt. Squinty was vaccinated.
