I had an U/M on my hands at mid Middle Cliff, until he entered the water and hauled out to spend a few quality moments with Sadie & Pup. It would prove to be Duke (RA12). He is the older brother of little sister Sadie, but the family reunion lasted just a heartbeat. When Sadie realized he was there, she barked and the family reunion was over. Duke would later haul out at 3BS where he spent the rest of the day. I also think that Duke was our U/U from Blowhole yesterday, but ???????
In the Yesterday’s News department, posse member Kai East, sent shots from her Turtle Bay trek yesterday. She found Ola (RG03) near Kahuku Point. Thank you Kai !!!
Gary Langley sent shots of Pohaku’s boy, RF28 on Kauai. He appears happy and well in the foliage. Thank you Gary !
Tracy forward email from Mark Sullivan, part of the Molokai team over there to do Critter Cam stuff. He advised that they had gotten an L22 bleach on Mojo (RI17), my #2 son, and an L25 bleach on KP kid, Noa (R6FI), who now are on Molokai more than they are here. Thank you Mark !!
Lastly, a Happy 7th birthday to Kerby (RW08), a Rabbit Island kid who became a Ka’ena Pt kid at 5 months, and now seem to be a Kauai guy. Kerby was the very first pup I ever laid my eyes on..... He was born a day after the seal count that year.... We thought he should have been added to the count since technically HE was there...
Duke welcome home !
sister Sadie with her little one
brother and sister having words... (guess it happens to seal siblings as well as human ones)
