8/27/2014 DB's Dailies: T990@SB, Buster@BH, Nani@RI, Kaiwi@CW, Kolohe@GR, M&M@WP, Pohaku@Maili, Kekoa &U'ilani@RR, UU@Waikiki

At 0600 I checked the Sandy Beach outfall, and found that Kea was gone. I picked up the stuff and continued.

At the other end of Sandy Beach, fronting the “Gas Chambers” break I found T990. I cordoned him off and he remains. Mostly everybody was cool, but a few just didn’t get it. He was still there at dark.

At 0820 I found Buster (RV08) doing 6 minute dives at Blowhole. I had not seen him earlier , nor did I see him on subsequent rechecks.

At 1220 Melanie called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at China Walls.

At 0620 Team Billand reported Kolohe (RW22) a Maili Guard Rails.

They found M&M (R020) fronting #1707/08, White Plains at 0714. They would report her departure at 0854. Another call at 1614 reported her at the orange buoy, but she had not as yet hauled out.

At 1040 the Billands found Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Cove.

Team Billand called at 1615 to advise that Eileen had reported Kekoa (K72) and a molting little sister, U’ilani (RN36) at the Reef Runway.

Dana called at 1914 to advise that an animal had been reported behind Michel’s Restaurant at the east end of Waikiki. She advised that Brandi was responding.

Gary Langley sent new photos of Rocky’s girl RF58 on Kauai. Her dog attack scars are still quite visible.

Such horrible scars on this poor pup. It's a wonder she survived. Thank you someone up there.....hope everyone has the idea that unleashed dogs can do horrible harm and need to be at home with their parents.

Donna,

Re Kaiwi: That scar has been there for a while. I noticed it a while back; my first photo of it was in May and it was already healed.
