By pure luck I happened to arrival back at SB just as Buster (RV08) arrived at 1202. They did a 10 rounder, battling a bit and then Buster would slow roll back to the water, only to charge again, and again. Finally, at 1232 both entered the water. T990 went west, Buster east. Buster would do a few more patrols of the Sandy Beach area, and though he tried to haul out a couple of times the adoring hordes would not allow it. I last saw him foraging again at Blowhole, just as I’d found him at 0634.
At 1104 I found what would prove to be Kaiwi (RK96) in the cove on the Sandy Beach side of the Blowhole Lookout.
At 1128 on a brief Rabbit Island check, I found Kainoa (RN04) front 1BS.
Team Billand called at 0630 with the report of Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Guard Rails.
At 0710 they reported Pohaku (RO28)at Nanakuli. She would depart at 1100.
At 0853 the Billands found M&M (R020) at Al’s Bench, Kalaeloa Campgrounds. Diane T reported her departure at 1013.
The Billands found a swimming head off shore of the Reef Runway this morning but it never hauled out and water shots provided no clues. Eileen called them at 1415 to advise that she saw a 50% molted U’ilani at the birth beach, RR.
In the Yesterday’s News department Kimo Smith sent shots from his end of the world trek yesterday. He found Ka’ena, RW02, RK36 & RL42 at Ka’ena Point.
