8/11/2014 DB's Dailies: Kainoa,Aukai&3UU@RI, Kaiwi@KK, Kea@LL, Kolohe@GR, RIP&Pohaku@Nanakuli,Benny@NIM, Ka'ena,RW02,RK36&Temp402@KP, Rocky@DH

At 0545 I arrived at Sandy Beach to find Benny gone. I picked up the equipment and continued on.

 At 0600 I found an animal doing 5-7 minute dives at Blowhole. Once again the evidence is circumstantial by I’ve gotta’ go with Buster, since an animal would later attempt to haul out to the east end of Sandy Beach, at noon, with the adoring hordes in his face. The haul out never happened. I observed the incident from Blowhole.

 At 0838 posse member Linda reported an animal behind her house at Kokee Flats. When I arrived at 0850 I found Kaiwi (RK96). Gayle would also confirm her. While on the subject of Kaiwi, Happy 3rd Birthday !!!!!

 My Rabbit Island observations were an U/U fest. There were 5 animals out there today. The only confirmed ID s I got were Kainoa (RN04) and Aukai (RL12). The other there were all U/U. All would eventually enter the water but noon .

 At 356 Gayle called with the report of Kea (RN46) at the Lanai Lookout cove.

 At 0643 Team Billand reported Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Guard Rails.

 At 0649 the Billands would report RIP (RR70)&Pohaku(RO28) at Nanakuli. Dana also sent confirming shots.

 Also at 0649 the Billands advised that surfer posse had reported M&M (R020) at White Plains. They would later confirm her ID at Tower#2, WP.

 John Johnson called from the end of the world with a report of an U/U at the 20 minute mark on the Waianae side trail, and Ka’ena (RO40) and a player to be named later at the point . Kimo Smith came through with another report, finding Ka’ena (RO40), RK36, RW02&Temp402 at KP.

 At 1330 Dana called with a report from Lesley that Rocky (RH58) was at the Black Point end of Diamond Head today.

 At 1640 the Billands reported Benny (RE74) off shore of the Nimitz Bunkers, headed west.

 At 1622 they reported the return of M&M (R020) to the Surf Shack, White Plains.
