7-19-2014 DB's Dailies: Kainoa&Pua@RI, Kaiwi@BF, RIP & M&M@WP, Kolohe@Maili Pt, RL42@ Makua Cliffs,

In the morning glare and haze I found 3 animals at the left end of Rabbit Island. 2 large and 1 medium. The 2 large would move down and depart. I was never able to get an ID, though of course I have an opinion. Opinions are not facts so I’ll it will remain just that. The smaller on remained, though only partially visible. Finally at 0835 the critter moved down into view, and by 1044 I had the Kainoa (RN04) ID.

At 0849 I became aware of a head in the shore break fronting Kainoa’s location. It would prove to be Pua (RF34). Kainoa would move down and both would enter the water for a swim/play session. They hauled out together to the left end of the beach on RI, at 0937 and remained the rest of the day.

At 1209 Gayle called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) on Buster Flats, Lanai Lookout. Thank You, Gayle!

At 1124 Team Billand called with the report of RIP (RR70) & M&M (R020) fronting #1707, White Plains. They advised that Jean J was with them.

At 1259 the Billands found Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Point.

At 1420 Team Billand called with the report of RL42 at Makua Cliffs.

Ken Tingman did the KP trek yesterday, since both Marilyn& Lesley are outta’ town. He found RW02 at the end of the world.

Team Billand is working late , once again with RIP & M&M @ WP. Check the blog in the morning for their shots.

I was wondering if those were teeth marks by Kolohe's flipper?

Hi Hatter ! Kolohe's dings are probably just that. Galumphing over the terrain, and just swimming amongst undersea world bring a lot of nicks and dings. We all gottum' too. DB
