Ho'ailona's Home Coming

Aloha Good People!  Here are some photos telling the story of Ho'ailona's arrival back to Hawaii. I know everyone has been asking about them, so I hope you enjoy them!

We were briefed on what would happen as we waited
At a few minutes out we were called out to the runway
Officials, press and volunteers await the landing. (we were all wearing earplugs)
What a wonderful site, I felt like I was waiting for a family member to return home
Back door opened and he is taken off the aircraft
 WHAT... Alll this for me?
There's no place like home.... there's no place like home!
Cooling him off before loading onto truck for transport
One more ride to his final destination
See you in a month or so
Special THANK YOU to the United States Coast Guard crew! YOU ROCK!

thank you to everyone for professional demeanor and help in this welcoming committee. It was emotional and so overwhelming to be there with so many people who made this moment possible. It was a great moment to see this great seal arrive with his beautiful posture and see that he arrived safely and with such love and Aloha. Aloha nui KP2. Much love and aloha from Dana.
