11-15-11 Right Spot on Windward Side

Kudos to Kailua Sailboard and Kayak!  Ya done good. I received a call today from the office of KSK reporting N6 on Mokulua Island. Great photos!  I appreciate your interest and calling it into the hotline.
I think Andy was right... we're going to see more of them out on the islands.

If Crappy Cove is a dangerous place for a young monk seal then why are we not using aversion methods to scare Kaiwi away from the spot? I think at this young age it is good to get negative people interaction. Better with us, who care about them then others. Comments? Diane

I think we should use aversion, police, DLNR etc., to rid the illegal parking of vehicles and let sleeping seals sleep.
Why should it be the seal that gets the aversion treatment instead of the truck? Please make a suspicious vehicle report to the police. You can do this anonymously and if you do it enough the vehicle will not return. In other words you have to do it every single time, report the license plate vehicle make etc. If you need to meet with the police officer then so be it…but just do it.
