11-27-11 DB Dailies

The IMF squad hunted the beaches of the SE quadrant all day, but Kaiwi was a no show. The search was very much affected by a roaring blaze, started by a 4WD idiot and his Jeep, which started a fire that close the road in both directions after 1130. You just couldn't get here from there. The beaches were still checked but no Kaiwi.

At 0906 I found Duke (RA12) in the Morning Glory behind Seal Rock Inlet on Rabbit Island. At 0933, Buster (RV08) came out from a hiding place , behind a sand dune , 30 ft right of 3BS on RI. I'd last seen him on 11-8. He has not begun his molt but he is lookin' pretty ratty. Welcome home Buster !!!

At 1346 I managed to make my way from the fire area, and got to Spitting Cave, where I found what would prove to be Kekoa (RK72) doing 8 minute dives. Marilyn and Gayle had done a morning SC check, but found nobody. I was at a loss to ID the animal but when I got home I found that I'd lucked out and gotten a (K72) readable tag shot. It was Kekoa.

Team Billand called at 0740 to report Irma (R010) fronting #1706 , White Plains. At 1059 the Billands would report Kermit (R4DG) at Wind Sock. Lastly, at 1342 they would report Pohaku (RO28) at Electric Beach.

Dana checked in at 1200 to advise that R5AY was at Ola's on the hotel beach at Turtle Bay today.  Dera checked in with the report of Right Spot (R016) at Sunset Beach at 1408.

 Fire fire jeep on fire!
Well the alan davis site certainly has had it's challenges..... Really!
 Kekoa @ Spitting Cave

So is she planning on going for a walk in the woods?  Seems these weaners like their green.
Heading back to the big blue

Meant to comment on your photos of the burning JEEP at AD's. Sensational, I can smell the smoke, hear the popping sounds...very dramatic. Better than the news guys. He. He.

and the news is saying the person with the jeep is responsible for the brush fire of 50acres or more.
