11-12-11 Team Billand Back Home

Welcome home Team Billand! Glad you are home safe and sound and hope you had a nice time off island. I am also happy your return home brought you some seal sightings AND..... our special couple are still together waiting for you.

M+M  R020 @ Maili
Unidentified Male @ Makaha... wonder who he is?
Maybe he's a Niihau boy?  This was based on my quack theory he had no tags.
Yes looks like papa getting a new coat
No Tags... adult male....  Based on Barb's comments there are tags, just can't see them.
 Kermit 4DG @ White plains
Irma N3
 Still together
 Having an afternoon chat
Wonder if these folks realize how lucky they are?

Hey Blog Lady!! I appreciate your kind words. Yes we are happy to be back with our beloved seals again. IT WAS PURE JOY TO FIND THEM...THE DYNAMIC DUAL, RIGHT WHERE WE LEFT THEM ON SUNDAY BEFORE LEAVING. No signs of molt on either animal YET.
My appologies to Karen Banes, who had to deal with two idiots going into the perimeter and not being respectful to our seals, Kermit and Irma. White Plains...its a place of joy, yet, its a place of MORONS TOO.
Now for the unidentified seal. Yes its a male, it DOES have a tag, but We couldnt make out what it said, couldnt see no numbers..well, we never had a good view of them. Its not a large seal, maybe a Benny size. In fact we thought it to be Benny at first...but, nah.
It bugs the hell out me when I cant tell who the seal is before me. I also thought, Maybe MAX, NAH..he never had any cookies, no bleaches, that we ever saw. So we got to wait to hear from the EXPERTS, and that makes me so anxious, GOT TO WAIT TO HEAR WHO THEY FEEL THIS SEAL COULD BE!! And we spent an hour trying to ID this fellow.
AND, we were in a hurry also, as the OBAMAS were supposed to be coming..and we did see the Obama's just as we hit...The Power Plant...we saw the first squad car, flashing lights, sirens going, speeding and then the rest of the black SUV's, vans, etc. Quite exciting!! And glad they were going the opposite direction, heading Makaha!!!!
Being away from the seals for just 5 days, was another story for me..I get up EARLY every day with anticipation, wondering who we will find. Except, theres no oceans to find seals where we were at. And I couldnt help to call DB to see what was going on. I did get several calls from our posse..which was appreciated. One posse sent photos of Kermit and Irma, I REALLY appreciated that.
Oh and for my good luck, I brought a photo of MAX, our missing baby. I also had a small seal figurine, Rob made me two orange mini cones..I placed them all on my machine..and all of that..BROUGHT ME LUCK!!!!!! And lots of folks asked about the seals, as I wore my seal shirts in Vegas...that was so fun...educating those folks, and, in the end, folks wanted my seals for their luck. HE.HE. I said, NO, sorry, these are mine. So they just shook my hand, rubbing them for luck. Pretty funny stuff.
Oh and thanks to those wonderful people who watched over our seals while we were gone. you are all very much appreciated!!!!!!!
I want to say...Its so fun to WIN, it sucks to lose...BUT...coming home safe is priceless.
