11-24-11 HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I am thankful for all of you who help in every which way to protect and spread the word about these precious mammals.  I am honored to be part of such a great group of people.  Sending a blessing to all of you and your loved ones.... and of course keeping our beloved Hawaiian monk seals healthy and safe. ~da blog lady~

Now, to my Robert...for being with me daily on our adventures with the monks. Sitting out there daily, protecting our seals on shore. For educating the public, for driving all over the island, for being so patient with me.

Yep, we got so much to be appreciative of...each and every one of us.

Monk Seals was awesome. I wish i could keep one on my tub! They are like babies, sweet and adorable..

re: Aksel - I think many of us volunteers have thought that one time or another. However, the longer we are around them the more we realize they are most precious free in the wild. AND don't let those cute adorable faces fool ya... they are wild animals and will react to an unwelcome interaction.
