Today I worked the topside with the elephant seals and Terri and Lesley worked Harbor Seals.... The day started off with the loss of two elephant seals during the night with another hanging on... its the down side to this type of work... Yesterday we experienced the joy of 5 healthy animals set free back to the wild and today was two who lost their battle to survive. I found comfort knowing that these animals got the best shot of surviving with the help of the marine mammal center.
Friday's crew is known for their big lunches, today they made Italian so I felt right at home.... with such a large group the work load was light, as we don't have as many animals and there are few that are still tube fed. So I spent my day restraining cleaning and cleaning and well cleaning..... Honestly that kitchen is cleaner than most restaurants.... Here's a few shots from todays' adventures. ~da blog lady~
