What does a monk seal do in 3 weeks?  Kermits movements from March 2-21.
CL
Dr. Charles, how long will the iKermit run?  and any thoughts on who the next iSeal will be?

Very interesting! Kermit seems to keep to a small area. Is that common for most Monk seals? I think Benny would be a good subject because we know he travels inter-island and all over Oahu. Diane

We were fortunate to follow Kermit for months, just about every day. Since Mar 1, we have seen him just 10 times out of 22 days. He is running from Man. The last time we saw him was at Hau Bush, where the man poked him with the pole. He been in a small area for a very long time since coming back to Oahu from Kauai on Sept 9, 2009 along side Irma at White Plains. He was gone for 4 months. He had been dehooked on May 3, and was with Irma when he left that day. Maybe he will go back to Kauai again. Dont know, we'll see. I love Kermit, he is a gentel seal, he goes with the flow. Seems like an old gun fighter already, just wants to lay around, enjoy the sun, been there done that, he's retired like. Plus he is obese, so moving around, takes alot of energy. We been coverin a lot of areas, miles...we'd like to see him before he goes to Kauai. Come on Kermit, we miss you. We'll find you yet.

small area? Are we looking at the same map? Kermit hasn't been back to White Plains since they stuck the tracker on him. It is neat/interesting to see where he traveled but is it his normal 'run'? Too bad the tracker doesn't have a video camera attached. It would be interesting to see what Kermit does while under water & away from MAN.

What was up with that ugly man poking Kermit with a stick? Was he stupid or on drugs? I'm glad Kermit didn't bite him-who knows what the jerk would have done then. Sad.
