Here is one of our star molokai volunteers and author of Monks Moments... Val has been a big contributor to looking after our monk seals as well as sharing information with this blog.... I know I will miss her when she leaves the islands and heads back to the mainland... ~donna~

Wow!Here is our Molokai Queen with Monk, looking like a movie star, so pretty. You know we meet people along our journey,some are just People. Some capture your heart and soul, others make a difference. Val..she is an amazing, strong, beautiful, intelligent, caring, hard working and funny human being. One I'll never forget, one I'll treasure meeting and doing the LONGGGGG hike to Laau. She has brought Monk Seals on Molokai to the attention to NOAA and all us little guys. It is sad we will lose such a valuable soul soon. But Rob and I wish her and Ron the very best at her new life in the mainland. I suspect we'll still be seeing MONK around. Love ya Val!!
