Team Billand were surprised and concerned when they found Pohaku RO28 at 5:50 am in Nanakuli. She was way up on the beach by a barrier of yellow tape, there were lots of campers, and canoes. Team Billand wanted to remove the tape, but didn't want to cause a stir with the local folks, so they left it.
Team Billand left the site to go pick up mini seal watcher Olivia.
A little later from another beach Team Billand could keep an eye on Pohaku from afar. She is a big seal and easy to see from far away. When they returned for a recheck, they didn't see Pohaku but there were crowds of people.
Heading over to a Leeward Beach, they sat on the rocks looking at all the activity going on, and waiting for little butt-head to arrive. It wasn't until they checked again did they find Ka'ale RH32. He was there already up on the rocks. They didn't stay long because they didn't want any of the people (mostly divers) to find him.
Team Billand's last find of the day was Kekoa ALii RK72 resting alone. He was seen at a different Leeward beach up on the rocks.

They were at the lantern floating ceremony in Haleiwa and honored him by creating a lantern for him. They got there early, and was visited by a large Honu right in front of their camp and today is World Sea Turtle Day.
Coincidence? I think not! I think it's the universe letting them know how very special they are.
Thank you Tammy and Dave.... I know you are well aware of how much we all miss our seal whisperer. <3
