At 6:36 am Barbara spots RN14 Kalani hauling into Paradise Cove. He started coming into shore, but tourist are there, Barbara moved them back. Kalani came to the corner, looked around then continued to the right side of the lagoon, then out to sea he went.
Barbara turned around and sees RN14 Kalani hauling out on the rocks. He came in vocalizing loudly, galumphs over the rocks vocalizes again and waits. Then he moved over the rocks and out to sea heading west. They didn't see him for the rest of the day.
Stopping at another beach Team Billand see a seal arriving with N2 applied bleach mark on right side. It's Kekoa Alii RK72. He looks good and resting on the lower rocks. Waves were getting higher and higher and at 10:20 he is washed off the rocks and heads out to sea, foraging doing 7 minute dives. Happy 7th Birthday Kekoa!
Team Billand got a call about a seal at white plains which is insanely crowded. They spoke to the lifeguard and he said the seal came up, they roped him off, but then left heading west. Team Billand could see a head bobbing up and down, (maybe Benny but he's moving too fast).
Lesley sent a quick not before heading out for the evening. She checked the playpen. Puna PO4 weaner was hauled out on the waterline just past the rocks in the playpen. Momma Leia RL42 and Napua PO5 were having a swim session.
