Lesley checked late afternoon on Thursday, RK36 Kauai Kolohe had left and RN58 Luana was being washed by high tide. R303 BG and R330 Squinty were sleeping quietly. However this morning at 6:30 she found R303 BG and R330 Squinty were the only ones on the beach close together. BG has begun her molt (a conservative 5%).
Team Billand was out at the crack of dawn checking Depots and there was no sign of Pohaku. They continued to check Nanakuli Beach Park, and then off to Paradise Cove and still no seals. At 6:20 am they found RO28 Pohaku at Ko'Olina Secrets. She was alone and sleeping peacefully. They placed signs on one side as tourist began to arrive. They placed two phone calls to the hotline. After leaving Secrets the did check out several other hot spots and came up empty.
Email from Gayle reported four critters on Rabbit Island and Buster was at Sandy's. Buster was still on site when she left at 19:00.
