3-20-2013 Sadie&Pup(D#7),Kolohe@RI, Buster@SC, Irma,M&M@WP, Kermit@KR, Kerby,Pohaku,Benny&Noa@Maili Pt

At 0655 I found Sadie & Pup (D#7) at a new location, up in the Morning Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS, on Rabbit Island. This marks the first day of a significant location change, since birth. They would later move back down to the water line on the Waimanalo end of the beach. For the first time I was able to actually see a water session. The pup was in swimmable water, while Sadie was barely wet. The pup was havin' a ball, floppin' and flappin' in the water, close to mom. They would later haul out for a feed and a snooze.

Unfortunately, their day was interrupted by 2 female, standup paddle boarders who apparently didn't quite grasp the "KEEP OFF ISLAND" signs. They were met by DOCARE upon their return to Kaupo Beach Park. Happy to see DOCARE coming through.... This just makes me more grateful Sadie is on Rabbit Island and not over on the Moku Nui island....

Also at 0655 I found Kolohe (RW22) just hauling out to Rocky Right Beach. He would remain all day.

At 0735 I found Buster (RV08) doing 7 minute dives fronting the cave at Spitting Cave.

My "New & Improved"...New and Improved Yahoo has , once again failed to let me know when birthdays are on the horizon. Consequently, I must admit that I missed Sadie's 6th birthday on the 10th, for which I am truly sorry, Sadie. Thankfully Team Billand came thru today, to remind me that today is Kerby's 5th birthday. Today he is a man !!! Sadie March 10th 2007..... Kerby March 20th, 2008....  March monk madness :-)

Team Billand called at 0750 to advise that Irma (R010) had overnighted fronting Tower#1, White Plains.
At 0800 they reported M&M (R020) at #1707, WP.

At 0850 they found Kermit (R012) foraging off shore of Nimitz Cove. He would haul out to Kermit's Reef at 0925.

At 1140 Team Billand found Kerby (RW08), Pohaku (RO28), Benny (RE74) at Maili Point, with Noa (R6FI) just off shore. He would join the rest at 1352.

Dera called at 1326 with the report of an animal at Turtle Bay. Photos are inconclusive. ???????

Diane Pike called from Molokai to give me news on my #2 son. She confirmed Mojo (RI17) on Molokai today. The boy zips back and forth between here and there, with regularity .
