Apparently these two folks ran Ewa Girl off the beach... they caused quite the commotion. I am sure Barb will fill us in.... but I do hope someone follows up with this.

That upsets me so much what those two people did to Ewa Girl. :( Poor baby.
As we got out of our car to the site of Ewa Girl...I COULD HEAR EWA GROWLING SO LOUDLY. WE RAN TO HER, SAW THE LADY AND MAN IN THE ZONE, inches away from the seal. MY HEART POUNDED SO FAST, MY BODY SHOOK WITH ANGER!!!! I YELLED WITH ALL MY MIGHT AT THE COUPLE, MAN TURNS TO LOOK AT ME LIKE...WHAT??? I TOLD HIM GET YOUR ASSES OUT OF THAT ZONE NOW!!!! ROB WAS SO UPSET, IT WAS HARD NOT TO JUST JUMP IN THERE AND BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEM!!!
POOR EWA WAS LEAPING AT THE LADY, TRYING TO BITE HER. TO HEAR HER LOUD BELLOWS...HURT MY SOUL.
LADY JUST WOULDNT LEAVE HER ALONE. "WHAT TA HELL ARE YOU GUYS DOING, STOP IT, GET OUT NOW. THE LADY BENT OVER IN EWA's FACE AND CLAPPED HER HANDS OVER AND OVER. EWA LEAPS AT HER AGAIN and AGAIN.
LADY TELLS US..OH WE LOVE ANIMALS and this poor thing needs to get in the water or she will DIE. THE MAN..GOES...WE NEED TO ROLL HER IN THE WATER..HOLY CRAP ARE THESE ASS HOLES NUTS???????
EWA GIRL RUNS, SHE LOOKS BACK AND BARKS...RUNS...THE LADY RUNS AFTER HER...CLAPPING..YELLING...YOU GO YOU GO BACK IN THAT WATER NOW!!!!!
THERE WERE many folks watching in anger as well, yelling at the lady...GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THE SEAL ASS HOLES!!!
TOO LATE, THE SEAL RUNS FASTER, having a hard time being .... PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!
I am trembeling, I called for help.
Long story short...NOT ONE DAM THING WAS DONE TO THIS COUPLE..NOT THE POLICE WHO TOOK FOREVER TO COME. I ALSO CALLED BASE POLICE WHO TOLD ME, "YOU NEED TO CALL HPD MAM" I did...too late idiots...
DNLR calls..I see a silver volvo driving away...ITS THE ASS HOLES..DAM IT. DAM IT. You BASTARDS...
We feel sick to our stomachs...just so angry.
I gathered witnesses who had videos, of the dam couple disturbing the seal and all, I had photos as well...DID IT MATTER...NO!!!!!!
We pulled the equipment up...left site. Went on to our other seals.
Haupu had left Irma, was swimming away when we arrived. I ran to follow, as guess what, FOLKS WERE FOLLOWING HER as she pulls up at the fenceline..I am yelling with my soul...GET AWAY!!! GET AWAY. DAM IT, what ta hell is wrong with these people. I yell at the kid with a camera at Haupu as she is trying to haul up. SHe is at her face!!! I used the last amount of energy to get those guys back...finally they moved. I am exhausted. Haupu hauls all the way up shore at the fenceline, settles. We put out signs. Crowd moves away.
Get another call, seal being harassed at Nimitz and are in the zone. We fly to Nimitz, see many people leaving site, RUNNING. Too late they all got away. Kermit remains. We sat on the sand together..just so tired, so angry. Like all our efforts went down the tubes...I cried and cried. We cant handle this any more, its just no way we can stand this crap. Peoole are so mean, so disrespectful!!! WHY!! Its nearing 5pm, we pull kermits signs...leave.
We get to plains, there are these men, look military...right near Imra..wrestling in the water...nearing her zone, swim in front...began swearing and yelling so loud in their wrestling. The pregnant lady tells the guys, oh lets not disturb the seal..THE MAN YELLS OUT ...F that F seal...Oh I was a complete wreck. Rob was with Haupu...I sat just watching, crying away, just totally tired of humans!!!
Rob comes over, sees and hears the idiots, I film them just in case...they finally all leave site. THANK GOD....I was fearing what they would do as they seemed PLASTERED!!!
By 7pm...we gave up..Pulled the ropes from M and M, from Irma and Haupu...I said a prayer to all, said...I am so very sorry guys...I am, so very sorry what man did to all of you today...God be with you. We have to leave you all...We are so tired.
What ta hell is going on????? I feel like .... a FAILURE!!!!!
This hurts my heart, Barbara. :( I'm sorry you had to witness all this especially in one day. Our poor babies need us even more it seems. Those that harm our seals or harass them will get what is coming to them someday. I wish I could be there to see it happen. You are not a failure...the disrespectful human beings are the ones that are the failures. Don't take it personally.
