3-5-2013 DB's Dailies: Sadie,Mojo&Buster@RI, Kaiwi,Kolohe&RA36@SC, Kaiwi@LL, Makaiwi,RIP,M&M@WP, Kermit@NIM, R912@GR, Noa@Maili Pt, R018@Trks

At 0721 I found Sadie (RB12) and Mojo (RI17) together in the Morning Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island. Sadie was last seen on Moku Nui on 2-16-13, and last seen on Rabbit Island on 2-5-13. She appears happy, well, and PHAT ! . Both moved down to cool off and remained all day.

At 1228 on a routine pan I found what would prove to be Buster (RV08) behind the water front rocks at Seal Rock Inlet. He may well have been there all day, and was only seen when he moved up enough to become partially visible.

At 0805 Gayle called with the report of Kolohe (RW22) at Spitting Cave.

She would call again at 0835 to advise that Kaiwi (RK96) had joined him.

Another Gayle call at 0940 added RA36 to the group. At some unknown time all three would move away from SC.

At 1624 Zeeny advised that Kaiwi was alone at Lanai Lookout.

At 0821 Team Billand reported Makaiwi (R4DF) at #1943, White Plains. Also at that time the advised that RIP (RR70) was just hauling out to join her. The Billands would find them both in the water on their 1534 check.

At 1009 they reported Kermit (R012) at #1701 Nimitz Cottages.
At 1313 the Billands reported R912 at Guard Rails Beach.

Noa (R6FI) was their next find, Maili Point, at 1357.

At 1428 Team Billand found R018 at Tracks. He seems to have picked up a small hook in his LHF.

At 1534 the Billands reported M&M (R020) at #1708, White Plains.

Oh Sadie we sooooo happy you are there on Rabbit Island.... Mojo behave and let the girl get some rest

Yesterday was filled with seals, good cabin volunteers, THEY ARE LIKE FAMILY AS WELL.

We had a surprise visit with our one year old SWEET grand daughter, OLIVIA and my son, Jason. I can not express to you all, how thrilled Rob and I were to have her on that beach with KERMIT. Now she has met two seals, and she got to help stake the signs up. He. He. We even introduced her to the cabin volunteers...that was priceless to me.

We had our hands full with 7 seals, three at white plains, Rip, Makaiwi, and later in the afternoon, M an M. Kermit decided to have his own time at Nimitz.

912 was up at Guard Rails, alone, looking very pretty. Didnt spend too much time with her, dont want no one to see her out there. I ran into Vana Ferriera, and she said she would keep an eye out for her. Thanks girl.

Next was handsome Noa, trying to wiggle his butt in a small water hole.

Tracks was our next find...R018..the one with the cookie cutter on is face last year. He was snuggled in the rocks and sand, near all those homeless camps. It amazes me that the seals always haul out at these large camps. He was resting...his cookie visible on his face...healed. I saw a small hook at his left hind flippers. Dam it.

And that was our day...full, exciting, plus we met up with .... OLIVIA AND JASON. How cool is that????? I am filled with appeciation, pride and HONOR. Life can be so fullfilling and nice at times.
