3-14-2013 DB's Dailies:Sadie&Pup (D#1), Buster&Duke@RI, Kaiwi&RK36@SC, Ka'ena,Kerby&RL42@KP, Rocky&RA36@DH,

Day #1 of Sadie's adventure in motherhood dawning with her and the pup at the far left end of the beach at Rabbit Island. They would move down for a while to get wet, and then moved up onto the left end rock flats for the day. I observed multiple feeds, and both appear happy and well. NOAA (OLE) boat was in they area, and D. Schofield used my camera to get better photos of mom and pup.

At 0708 I found what would prove to be Buster, 25 ft right of 1BS. He would relocate at 1008 to check out mom & pup, but stayed a respectful distance away. He would return to the water at 1014, and I lost him. I found find him again on a check from the Makapuu Overview at 1220 when I found him along with Duke behind the rocks at Rocky Right Beach. They had been totally invisible from the pier.

At 0742 Gayle and I found Kaiwi (RK96) and RK36 foraging and playing at Spitting Cave.

At 1008 I found Duke (RA12) on the water front rocks of Rocky Right Beach. He would move down behind the rocks at 1111, but remained the rest of the day.

At 0639 Team Billand reported R912 foraging off shore of Maipalaoa Beach Park. She would haul out at 0833. There were lay netters in the immediate area, but he removed his net, with some urging.

At 0853 the Billands reported Pohaku (RO28) at Paradise Cove.

Zeeny checked in from the end of the world at 0954 with the report of Ka'ena (RO40) and Kerby (RW08) at Ka'ena Point.

Dera called at 1007 with the report of an animal at Diamond Head. Colleen responded and photos confirm Rocky (RH58) at Beach Rd, DH.

At 1050 Lesley found R5AY at Hauula.

At 1111 the Billands reported Benny (RE74) at Maili Point.

Zeeny called at 1150 with the report of RL42 about mid way along the Waianae side KP trail.

At 1318 Team Billand found M&M at #1944 White Plains. She would depart at 1650.

At 1343 the Billands reported Ewa Girl (RS00) at Wind Sock. She would depart at 1753.

At 1411 they reported Kermit (R012) at Kermit's Reef.

Also at 1411 the Billands advised that RB24 had hauled out near R912 at Maipalaoa BP.

At 1511 Team Billand reported R018 at Maili Point.

At 1653 Lesley called to advise that she was with RA36, wedged into rocks at the Black Point end of Diamond Head, near the Nabors house.
