At 0649 I found Kolohe (RW22), snoozin' on the water
front rocks at Seal Rock Inlet on Rabbit Island . Later in the afternoon
he would relocate to the far left end of the island.
At 1242 I found Kaiwi (RK96) in her usual spot at Lanai
Lookout. The girl had been a no show for the last 3 days, so it was comforting
to find her. She would depart with the rising tide at 1627. She appeared happy
and healthy and I noted no lines or suspect behavior.
When I got back to Makai Pier for the afternoon Rabbit
Island check, at 1345 I found that Kolohe had relocated to the left end of the
beach, and was now in the company of Kekoa (RK72). Both would snooze away the
afternoon, moving up with the rising tide. At 1530 they entered the water
together and I watched them playing in the shallows until losing them at 1630.
At 0816 Colleen Heyer called to advise that Irma (R010)
had overnighted at Diamond Head.
Team Billand checked in at 0843 to report Benny (RE74)
at Maili Point.
At 1030 they found Kermit (R012) at Kermit's Reef, on
the west side of the Nimitz Jetty.
Kolohe and Kekoa - how cute are these two... love that Kekoa is back on Rabbit Island
Kaiwi @ Lani Lookout
