5-17-2012 DB's Dailies: Nani&Buster@RI, Irma@KK&SC, Kaiwi@TBL, Kermit@WSK, Benny,Kerby&Noa@Maili Pt, Right Spot @Sunset Bch, KC@Kualoa

At 0714 I found what would prove to be Nani (RK60) up in the grass behind Seal Rock Inlet , on Rabbit Island. When I got back to Makai Pier at 1354, Nani had moved to 100 ft left of 1BS, and was now in the company of Buster (RV08), 90 ft left of 1BS.

At 0854 posse member Gayle called with the report of an animal at Irma's Grotto, Kokee Flats, Portlock. When I arrived at 0920 I found Irma in the grotto pool with only her hind flippers on the rocks.

At 1200 posse member Kathy would report "a large animal" at Spitting Cave. When I arrived I found Irma (R010) doing 12 minute dives.

Hanauma Bay posse members Jack & Marlon (and others) called around 1200 to report Kaiwi (RK96) at Toilet Bowl, Hanauma Bay. She had not been there on my 0830 check.

Team Billand checked in at 0924 with the report of Kermit (R012) at Wind Sock, Kalaeloa Beach. That used to be a regular stop in Kermit's life, however the last notation I have for his having been there was 12-10-11.

At 1213 the Billands found M&M (R020) at the Makaha Surfside Condos, Makaha.

At 1243 Diga (Diane Gabriel) called to advise that Jeannie Martinson had reported "N6" (Right Spot, R016) at Sunset Beach.

Team Billand called at 1339 to report Benny (RE74)& Kerby (RW08), and Noa (R6FI) a bit off to the side, at Maili Point.

At 1406 Diga called to report an animal about 1/2 mile past Kaulao Ranch, on the east side. Photos would confirm the KC (RK28) ID.

An afternoon email from Tracy advise of confirmation photos of Makaiwi (R4DF) taken 5-14-12, on Maui.
