5-25-2012 DB's Dailies

"Jack at the Bay" called at 0612 to advise of at least one animal at HB. I was nearly there already, and when I arrived at 0615 I found Ewa Girl (RS00) & Buster (RV08) still on the left side rock flats at Hanauma Bay, having overnighted. They have remained all day.

At 0803 I found Irma (R010) snoozin", and mostly submerged at Irma's Grotto, Kokee Flats, Portlock.

When I got back to Makai Pier at 0910 I found what would prove to be Duke (RA12) on the water front rocks, 40 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet.

On a pan at 1022 I found a newly hauled out Nani (RK60), 80 ft left of 1BS.

At 1223 I found Kaiwi (RK96) snoozin' in her cave at Lanai Lookout. Teri advised that she departed at 1841.

Team Billand checked in at 1019 with the report of Kerby (RW08) at Maili Point.

At 1059 RIP (RR70) would join Kerby.

At 1106 they reported that Noa (R6FI) had joined the other two at Maili Point.

At 1509 the Billands reported that Benny (RE74) had arrived at Maili Point, but he and RIP immediately had words, and Benny departed . Awaiting further word.

Dana called at 1227 with the report of an animal at Laniakea. Awaiting further info.

Also at 1227 Dana reported an animal at Secret Beach, KoOlina. Team Billand called at 1228 to confirm the Pohaku (RO28) ID.
