When we got word a little one had been born at Turtle Bay, we couldnt wait to see it, and to help out set up the perimeter. And as soon as we set eyes on the new born, we could see, it was already very active, in the water, making noises, and MOM already vocalizing, we knew this one was already, a discoverer, a gutsy kid, a leader!! R5AY looked pretty much tuckered out, just laying there with her large eyes keeping watch on her munchkin, moving about, all by itself. Placenta intact just 10 feet of Mom. Wow, what a scene, what amazing things go on with the Monk Seals in Hawaii. And how lucky are all of us to be there to witness nature!!! We are all blessed!!
It was fun to build the zone, team work, its awesome.
Already you could see fishermen on both sides of the zone..so you know HOOKS will be a problem as usual.
Turtle Bay is beautiful, a great location for a pupping, with lots of space, for man and animals to co exist. Good luck R5AY and to all who will keep an eye out for the seals safety. Wouldnt it be something if Ua Malie came over for a visit on the latest addition??? Awesome.
It was pure joy to be there at Turtle Bay and experience a truly special occasion. Our prayers to the pup, for a future of a safe and happy life.
